2019 Season Comes to a Close

The Ryerson Women’s Fastpitch team finished their fourth season at the OIWFA Championships in Hamilton, ON over the October 5/6 weekend.

Although the Rams' season came to a sooner-than-expected finish after being knocked out in two games by the eventual tournament champions, the Western Mustangs, and third place McMaster Marauders, the team celebrates many accomplishments.

While only in their fourth season of OIWFA play, the Ryerson Rams tied for first in the Eastern Division with the Queens Gaels at the end of the regular season. With a 10-6 record, the 2019 season was the most successful thus far in the team's history.

Ryerson Rams athletes were also applauded at the OIWFA Championship banquet. Only in her second year, pitcher Zoe Delorme took home an OIWFA All-Star nod as well as being named the Eastern Division's Top Pitcher. Senior Emma Carr took home her third consecutive All-Star award to end her career as a Ram.

The Ryerson Rams thank graduating seniors Alicia Callaghan, Emma Carr, and Olivia Pepe for their contributions to the team on and off the field. Going into the fifth season, the Rams look to continue the momentum their program has built over the last four years. They look forward to welcoming the next class of recruits in 2020.
